RIDER’s SURPRISE RIDE
Our first Riders Surprise Ride submission…turns out to be two options on a similar loop out to a local high spot - Leith Hill.
IT’S FLAT ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP - 106km
A route that slots neatly in to our runs list, taking in some Surrey lanes we seldom visit in other BCC routes. A clockwise ride out to Dorking, up to Coldharbour and around Leith Hill. Option of Heartwork Coffee Holmbury St Mary or at km 57 The Dabbling Duck cafe . Past Shere and up Combe Lane. Retuning through Cobham, Esher and RP…and home to Balham.
SHUT UP LEGS - 120km
The second option is for those who like a challenge, looping up Ranmore Common Rd…and then after climbing Leith Hill a coffee opportunity at Heartwork Coffee Holmbury St Mary km 54, then dropping down past Ewhurst, along towards Cranleigh before returning via Barhatch Lane, linking up to the shorter version at Shere. The Dabbling Duck cafe is at km 72 on this route.
