We would love to hear from you.  Please contact us to find out more about the club and membership  if your questions aren’t answered below…

I’m interested in joining, what do I do next?

First of all contact us to find out about the next available place on one of  our Social Rides. We organise a Social Ride on the 3rd Sunday of each month. We take this opportunity to ask you a few simple questions about your riding to help us get you with the right Pace group.

You are welcome to join us on two Social Rides before signing up as a member. We require you come along to at least one Social Ride to make sure you are comfortable with the type of riding BCC do.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is £25 per year, members are also required to be a member of British Cycling and hold a Ride Membership.

As a member you will be able to join the monthly Social Rides and the longer Club Rides which are held April to November. You will also have access to the Club WhatsApp and Strava groups and Club kit and other social activities.

WHY DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF BRITISH CYCLING TO JOIN BALHAM CYCLING CLUB?

We ask for this for third party indemnity insurance.  It covers the Club, other members and yourself if you cause or are involved in an accident.  We accept British Cycling Ride, Silver or Gold Memberships (not Bronze or Fan) which gives you Liability Insurance and Legal Assistance.

How often do you ride, how far and at what speed?

We organise 2 group rides each month.

A Social Ride on the 3rd Sunday of the month, these vary in distance from 75 – 100km / 45-60miles. See  Social Ride routes.

A Club Ride on the first Sunday of the month ( April to November ) which vary in distance  from 110-140km  / 70-85 miles as.

We aim to provide 6 different Pace Groups for both Social Rides and Club Rides, each with a nominated Ride Leader to guide the ride.

During the summer months we meet mid-week for laps of Richmond Park.

Members also use the club WhatsApp group to arrange further rides.
