BOX HILL

Distances: 70km, 80km and 90km

Thanks to the 2012 Olympics our local ride is known for some of the most iconic roads in Britain. Both groups initially follow the same route; out through Carshalton, Woodmansterne, then south-west to Kingswood and Walton on the Hill. At this point the 80km group  drops down to Betchworth then takes a loop through the lanes that return via Dorking before heading up Box Hill. The 90km route heads further south towards Newdigate before heading north to Dorking.

The 70km route branches off to Headley then follows the lovely Lodgebottom Road which comes out at the foot of Boxhill. We’ll have a well earned break at the top before we make our way back to Balham.
